Located at a distance of 25.3kms from the city centre of Beijing, the Beijing Capital International Airport is China’s busiest airport in terms of annual passenger traffic who takes flights to travel to different parts of China and the world. Operational since 1958, the airport that covers a total area of 3700 where it has three terminals, with Terminal 3 being the second largest airport terminal in the world. This is the terminal that was built in 2008 in conjunction with the 2008 Olympic Games that were held in Beijing. The airport has three runways that cater to more than 5000 flights daily that arrive at the Beijing Airport.

For people who travel with babies, aged or ill patients the terminals of the airport has nursing room facilities which are available near most of the restrooms.

There are more than 50 options of dining which has popular food joints like KFC, Macdonald, Papa Rich, Starbucks just to name a few. With more than 70 shopping outlets waiting time for catching flights could be utilized to shop till you drop.
Transport options are inexpensive
Ground transportation options at the Beijing Capital International Airport are plenty and inexpensive. You can easily catch the Airport Express Line rail that runs from Terminal 3 and goes to downtown Beijing via terminal 2. At just ¥25 this journey of 15 to 20 minutes is the certainly the cheapest and comfortable mode of travel to the city from the airport and vice versa.
There are free of charge shuttle buses that play between the three terminals at a gap of every seven minutes. City bound bus services are also widely available from the airport. From major points of the city like the three Railway stations of Beijing, Zhongguancun, Xidan or Fangzhuang there are direct buses that run to each of the three terminals with a single ride cost of ¥16. Metered taxis can also be availed to travel to the Airport to catch a flight.
